A little about who we are...
Wayne Karlins has been involved with social media since 2004, starting with Myspace. He became interested when his children first wanted to join the then-fledgling social websites. To help protect them he joined as well, continuing to learn and becoming more skilled as time passed. Recognizing the business-side utility of the channel, he began an on-going practice of attendance at professional seminars and webinars to master advanced social media techniques and practices.
After becoming a Chamber of Commerce member in 1980 and networking for many different companies, Mr. Karlins is now a regular speaker at events on social media, and considered to be an expert on personal and social networking. A former VP of Social Media and Sales Manager at What's Happening! Community Newspapers, he is President of Reed Social Media Group.
Ernest Giarelli has been a part of the Internet community since 1992 and has helped develop and manage websites and create online content for over 16 years. He served as Managing Editor and head of the creative department at Yesmail.com, one of the largest Internet marketing firms in the country. In addition, he has over 20 years experience in operations management and sales, in businesses ranging from local enterprises to firms generating billion-dollar sales levels.
Mr. Giarelli is currently a webmaster, online marketing and project manager for several companies, and Vice President at Reed Social Media Group.
